Company History & Background

Brilliant Bathrooms was formed in 2001 as a strategic move to bring the best of two existing businesses into a new and stronger entity.

The two owners, Peter and Michael, were each successful bathroom specialists in their own right. Although they were competitors, they shared common goals, business ethics and commitment to best practice principles. They shared a vision of a new business, where their passion for excellence and commitment to quality, could be delivered to their Clients more effectively, comprehensively, consistently and economically than each of them could before.

They each have over 30 years experience in the renovation industry. They hold certificates in Building Supervision and Bathroom Design, and are fully qualified and Licensed General Builders.

Both Directors actively keep abreast of rapidly changing design trends, new products and industry regulations.

They are long term members of leading industry organisations Housing Industry Association, HIA Kitchens and Bathrooms, Master Builders Association and Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute.

The company’s humble beginnings were in a home office in Eden Hills. In early 2003 the office moved or a small shop on Shepherds Hill Road, and was very successful, developing a strong reputation among the Hills community.

After outgrowing that office, the business moved in 2009 to its current premises in a retail strip on South Road in Black Forest.

This new location has a small showroom where Clients can come to discuss their needs, do some selections and review designs and quotes. The rear of the showroom houses the offices which serve as the “engine room” of the business. The new location has allowed the business to expand its workforce and infrastructure to service the growing demand and diversified Client base.

In 2004, Brilliant Bathrooms started doing upgrades to units in retirement villages. This started with a single bathroom renovation, but has since grown to encompass complete unit upgrades.  In2010, this work accounted for about 60-70% of business turnover and has its own team of managers and contractors.
